2.1 Restoring Windows®

Instantly after a successful backup of your Windows® environment, a first Install-Restore can be triggered to verify the reliability of the saved record.

The content of personal folders will be ignored, everything else will be undone. Subsequently installed software will be completely removed. Caught viruses and Trojans will be killed.

In addition, Windows® will be maintained: Temporary files will be removed and the registry database will be defragmented.

You should therefore run Install-Restore regularly to keep your computer disinfected and fast.
To start Install-Restore, right-click on the background of the desktop and select Install-Restore from the context menu:

A recovery takes less than 2 minutes under optimal conditions. Run-times may be significantly longer in practice. After having restored the running Windows® environment, the computer must be restarted. In an emergency, a computer without working Windows® can be restored directly from the DVD drive (see manual 2.2.1).
